Plastic bottles are one of the best packaging materials ever discovered by mankind. These bottles, especially made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having lids made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) can be used for packaging of all kinds of liquids. From aqueous to organics, oils to juices, beverages to cosmetics etc. all kinds of liquids can be packaged in these bottles. No other material offers such performance for all kinds of packaging.
But same performance poses threat to environment when the bottles are dumped. Too much applications leads to the exponentially high concerns.
